O'Reilly speaks out, anti-Fox News activist efforts continue

He said he will tell everyone who targeted him "soon" and might even take legal action.

"In the weeks to come, we're going to be able to explain some of it", he said.

Fox News fired O'Reilly amid allegations of sexual harassment that came about a year after former chief Roger Ailes was sacked after he was accused of sexual misconduct.

Bill O'Reilly on Friday morning addressed his firing from Fox News, blasting some of the press as "vicious and evil" while promising an "exposition" to reveal supposed untold details about his unexpected ouster last month. O'Reilly did not indicate he would take legal action against Fox.

While pundit Kirsten Powers says that O'Reilly once joked about her blonde hair, neither she nor anyone else ever sued him over such comments. The cable news king was dismissed from his 21-year perch at the network.

O'Reilly said Fox was pressured by left-wing activists who came in and threatened sponsors unless they stopped running commercials on the highly-rated "O'Reilly Factor". "When I was at Fox News, as you'll remember, I did "George Soros the puppet master, ' because we had received what we felt was a serious threat to life from one of George Soros" intimate surogates". It's grossly dishonest. I did what I thought I had to do to protect my family.

"My attorneys told me and we were all shocked ..."

Mediablast also reported that O'Reilly has piqued the interest of executives at Sinclair, a huge right-leaning broadcaster that has been busy gobbling up media properties. "We are going to name them and it's going to be a big, big story".

Roger Ailes, chairman and CEO of Fox News answers questions during a panel discussion in Pasadena, California on July 24, 2006.

O'Reilly also weighed in on the controversy surrounding President Donald Trump's decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, saying that the president fired the former director because he doesn't trust him.
