Overwatch art book and comic collection pop up online

A year after its release, and Overwatch's popularity is showing no signs of slowing down.

Its description reads, "Overwatch has taken the world by storm, boasting millions of players and gaining critical acclaim". It's no surprise that Blizzard would eventually release an official art book for the game, detailing the character designs and the process the artists went through when creating them. 'Learn all this and more in this hardcover anthology of the first twelve issues of Blizzard's Overwatch comics, written and illustrated by an all-star creative team'.

NeoGAF users always seem to be alert to anything that becomes available or leaked, and this is no different in the case of The Art of Overwatch books, as user AlexFlame116 has shared both pictures and pre-order links for the standard and collector's edition. They're now slated for release in October, just in time for the holiday season. Launching it just a few weeks after the release of the Overwatch Dark Horse comic anthology is also a good idea, as devoted fans will be finished with the comics and clamoring for more Overwatch art goodness to satiate their appetite. It will also feature "two portfolios containing a total of three prints chosen by the Overwatch team". "Filled with never-before-seen art as well as commentary provided by the game's development team, this book is sure to please any Overwatch fan".

In the meantime, fans can at least look forward to The Art of Overwatch and the comic book anthology.

Overwatch is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
