Paul George Comments on Lakers Rumors with Jimmy Kimmel

"No man. I love Magic, (he's a) great dude", George said, before laughing when Kimmel responded by saying that it was good he thought that because he was going to be working for him with the Lakers. That was as far as George came to a definitive statement on the subject.

Have you talked to Kobe Bryant about joining the Lakers? The first: Tuesday night's draft lottery, where the Lakers learn their fate.

George politely declined to comment other than to say that he loves Magic before acknowledging that he's always going to have those rumors swirling around him due to the fact that he's from the area.

Facing competition such as the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard, to name a small sample, and George's future in IN could be hanging on by a thread.

Woj also added that he believes teams are not willing to give up much to trade for George because they're not sure they can keep the star in free agency.

Last week, ESPN's Zach Lowe predicted that the Lakers will "dangle prospects" in exchange for George.

It won't be easy for the Lakers to pry George from the Pacers, who would have the ability to offer him a five-year, $207 million extension if he's named to an All-NBA team on Thursday.

Lakers fans are waiting for Paul George's contract to be up in Indianapolis so he can head to Los Angeles and put on for his hometown. Jeanie Buss took her spot on top of the franchise's throne in February and cleaned house in the front office, firing longtime GM Mitch Kupchak and putting Johnson in charge of basketball operations with Bryant's former agent, Rob Pelinka.
