Bobby Moynihan leaving 'Saturday Night Live' for CBS sitcom

Bobby Moynihan is taking his curtain call.

Moynihan's final appearance will be on Saturday's season finale, with host Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and musical guest Katy Perry.

With his new sitcom, "Me, Myself & I", officially added to the CBS fall schedule, longtime "Saturday Night Live" player Bobby Moynihan is bidding adieu to 30 Rock.

Moynihan, like fellow SNL vet Kenan Thompson (who also has been the subject of speculation for the same reason, although nothing has been announced yet), has been a glue guy over recent seasons. Moynihan will play Alex in present day with Jack Grazer playing young Alex and John Larroquette playing the oldest version. When he departs, he will leave as one of the show's longest-running cast members.

On Wednesday, Moynihan appeared at CBS' upfront presentation with his fellow "Me, Myself & I" cast members. His characters included Drunk Uncle and secondhand reporter Anthony Crispino. We know this will be the end of Drunk Uncle, because no one could possibly recreate Moynihan in that role. It's going to be produced by Kapital Entertainment and Warner Bros Television, so definitely keep an eye out! Dana Honor executive produces with Kopelman and Kaplan.

The comedian will also voice the title character in the recently picked up Syfy animated series, Happy!
