Boko Haram bombers attack University of Maiduguri again

Three suicide bombers on Friday detonated explosives inside a university campus in Nigeria's northeastern state.

The bombers at about 23.45 attempted to enter the female hostel, but were stopped by eagle-eyed security men. "Three university security personnel reported injured".

The University of Maiduguri has been under several suicide bombers attack, as three male suicide-bombers were killed while attempting to attack a female hostel in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on Thursday night.

Three male suicide bombers have attacked the University of Maiduguri, UNIMAID again.




One of the students of the school, Yusuf Ibrahim, told THISDAY on phone that a university security man was killed in the explosion by a female suicide bomber at the hostel. President should help us erect fence round the school in other to prevent further attacks " Aishat Mohammed an undergraduate student told Saharereporters.

He noted that one of the bombers hurriedly detonated his IED vest, killing himself instantly.

Datti said that the incident occurred as the new Director-General of NEMA, Mr Mustapaha Maihaja has been on a two-day visit to Maiduguri to meet with the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
