Browns sign Texas A&M's Myles Garrett, 1st overall pick

Myles Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 National Football League draft, signed with the Cleveland Browns on Friday.

The former Texas A&M All-American signed his contract Friday and the Browns posted a video of Twitter of Garrett filling out the paperwork while Seal's "Kiss From A Rose" played in the background.

In 34 games over his three years with the Aggies, Garrett registered 141 total tackles, including 81 solo stops and 60 assists, with 31.0 quarterback sacks, seven forced fumbles, one recovery, five passes defended and one interception. The mysterious lyrics to "Kiss from a Rose" only add to the mystery of why it was Garrett's choice. According to NFL Media, his four-year, fully guaranteed contract with Cleveland as the No. 1 overall pick is worth $30.4 million, with $20.25 million of it up front as a signing bonus. He was a two-time first-team All-American, including by unanimous choice in 2016. He likes to read and write poetry, is fascinated by dinosaurs and his musical tastes range from Marvin Gaye to Journey to Earth, Wind & Fire to Led Zeppelin to apparently Seal.

Garrett was the sixth of the Browns' 10 draft picks to sign a contract.
