Raptors' Lowry confirms he will opt out of deal to become UFA

It was the biggest first half-to-second half turnaround in National Basketball Association history, in a season in which Miami led the league with 328 player games lost to injury or illness. "There's desperation at their end and desperation at our end".

"I think he understands the moment", Raptors coach Dwane Casey said Saturday. Or to wish that the grit shown in Game 4 had come earlier. I've gotta get better. The Warriors still have a ways to go, but even with tougher competition awaiting, we should all keep in mind that they were missing their best player for several games, and are still without their head coach.

"I thought we did things against Milwaukee we didn't do at the end of the regular season and I thought that would prepare us for the next series, which ended up as a totally different series". I thought our guys played with grit, toughness, togetherness.

With a 3-0 series lead, the Cavaliers had no real reason to be concerned - and James' interaction here proves as much.

Channing Frye scored 10 points, and Irving had nine assists.

He singled out his players' confidence in three-point shooting, plus defensive areas such as shot challenges and rotations. "There's nothing we can be satisfied about, with our job performance, especially after the way we went out".

Irving's layup with four minutes remaining had Cleveland ahead by eight points.

The Raptors shot 47 per cent on the night, and, after connecting on just two three-pointers in Game 3, went 10-of-29 from long range. If he chose to exercise his free agency and sign with another squad, a max deal could net him just over $150 million.

Following a replay review, Cleveland's Iman Shumpert was called for a technical foul in the second after he kneed DeRozan in the groin area while going up for a jump shot, an incident that left DeRozan lying on the court in pain. "I like watching a good game, not even necessarily that it's going to be a close game".

"I don't know if we made that final click", he added.

James had nine points in the fourth quarter.

Serge Ibaka scored 23 points, while DeMar DeRozan added 22 and the Raptors took Cleveland to the last few couple of minutes before dropping a 109-102 decision to the Cavaliers in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. Maybe they could have punched with LeBron and company if they had more time to get used to one another.

To be fair, if you put King James on any National Basketball Association team they could probably beat the Raptors. The team's best young player is Norman Powell, a second-round pick who won't likely change the landscape in the Eastern Conference.

DeRozan left the game briefly with 8:07 to play in the second quarter after he was inadvertently kicked in the midsection while guard Iman Shumpert.

Bench Brigade: Led by Kyle Korver, the Cavs bench out scored the Raptors bench, 26-7 in the first half. Korver scored 16 points in the second, making four 3-pointers, as Cleveland led 61-49 at halftime. Kyrie Irving had 27 points, while Kyle Korver finished with 18.

Tucker opened the scoring in the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer to slice the deficit to two points.
