The CW Fall TV Schedule Puts Arrow On A New Night

And surprise, surprise, there aren't a ton of additions, and only a few changes.

"Valor", about an elite unit of U.S. Army helicopter pilots whose top secret mission in Somalia goes awry, will join "Supergirl" on Monday nights.

Tuesdays remain super-heroic, with the fourth season of THE FLASH (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT) once again followed by DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT). There will, however, be another four-way crossover event for those shows'. Riverdale moves from Thursdays to take Arrow's 8/7c slot, leading into the premiere of the network's reboot of Dynasty. Asked if the CW, which is adding a fifth DC superhero series to its lineup in midseason with Black Lightning, has any concerns about expanding in the genre in an era of "peak superhero TV", Pedowitz said, "We believe we have the best superhero programing on anywhere".

"We will have a slightly different take, because we are The CW", he said.

Esther and John Shapiro, creators of the original series, are also involved as executive producers. Other characters or character names will be familiar to former "Dynasty" viewers.

After several seasons on Wednesdays, Arrow relocates and reunites with Supernatural, which "was a no-brainer move" for Pedowitz, who realized that the long-running shows could withstand the increasingly tough Thursday-night competition.

Putting Jane with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on Fridays gives the net a romantic-comedy block that is also proving to be a draw beyond the traditional model. "And we will continue to provide our advertisers new opportunities to reach our audience, the youngest of any broadcaster, on every platform".

For midseason, The CW has lined up Black Lightning, based on the characters from DC, and Life Sentence, starring Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars).
