Why the Trump White House can't solve its biggest problems

During her appearance on Fox & Friends, former Trump campaign official turned White House counselor Kellyanne Conway confirmed the news.

Multiple sources told NBC News earlier this month that the president is weighing changes, and had asked people close to him their take on press secretary Sean Spicer's handling of press briefings in comparison to his deputy, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who occasionally fills in for him. Dubke tendered his resignation on May 18, and then stayed on through the end of President Donald Trump's first major global trip.

"But it has been my great honor to serve President Trump and his admin".

The dispute began with the first question of the on-camera session that centered on a Washington Post report from last week that said Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, had attempted to set up a back channel with Russian Federation.

As a veteran Republican strategist, Dubkewas originally hired in February to aid the Trump administration in restructuring White House communications department which had struggled to deal with a series of controversies.

The world may never know what President Donald Trump was thinking when he tweeted "covfefe," but the White House is claiming that his intended audience got the message loud and clear.

"Whenever you see the words "sources say" in the fake news media, and they don't mention names", Trump tweeted Sunday amid a morning rant, "it is very possible that those sources don't exist but are made up by fake news writers".

His comments come after President Donald Trump's trip overseas last week, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel's statement that Europe can no longer rely on the United States.

But reporters wanted to talk about something else: White House adviser Jared Kushner.

Dubke, the founder of Crossroads Media, a conservative media relations firm, replaced Jason Miller, who accepted the communications director job before changing his mind in December, citing family reasons.

"I think Mike is a very capable guy", Mr. Lewandowksi said.

However, Mr Kushner is now reportedly under scrutiny as part of the FBI's investigation into alleged Moscow influence that is engulfing Mr Trump's fledgling presidency. On one hand, he helped give journalists access to senior White House and Cabinet-level officials on a regular basis. Press Secretary Sean Spicer was rumoured to be one of the people who will be removed, The Guardian reported.

Politico first reported Dubke's resignation.

Rhode Island's junior U.S. Senator, Sheldon Whitehouse, says the country must work to recover its global reputation.
