No change for Cavs as they prepare for Game 3

The Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday, but after the game, one of the first thing some in the media noticed in the locker room was a certain recognizable scent.

Asked if he meant to swap Shumpert for Smith in Wednesday's Game 3 at Quicken Loans Arena, Lue said: "I'm not doing it".

Smith has scored only three points in two games - opening the Finals scoring with a three-pointer - while averaging 21.1 minutes.

James, the most prolific scorer in National Basketball Association playoff history, said he was content with the more physical effort his team showed in the second game of the series and that the Cavaliers' gameplan, if executed for 48 minutes, gives them a chance to win. One of the options for Lue was to start Iman Shumpert, who came off the bench and provided quality minutes in Game 2.

"That's our game", Lue said.

Cleveland Cavaliers Coach Tyronn Lue will continue to ride his preferred shooting guard J.R. Smith despite his current form slump.

"We got our asses kicked and now we're at game three and we've got a challenge in front of us", Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving said, mindful last year's Warriors did not have star forward Kevin Durant as this year's team does. He has nearly twice as many fouls (5) as he does points.

A few minutes later, Wise followed up his statement clarifying that he did not know who was responsible for that particular scent, and was not trying to make any judgments either way, but he smelt what he smelt and was not going to be told otherwise. "And other than that, any other opportunity I can get to try to make something happen". I just have to be solid. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, who has seen more than his share of Finals, reminded everyone that you haven't really done anything until you win a road game. James attacked successfully play after play and got whatever he wanted at the rim. "I'm confident that we can play that way, and we did past year".

If Lue decides Smith is better with the second unit, Smith said he will take it in stride. "If I'm in a suit or whatever, if we win the championship, we all get rings".
