RAABTA Wins, Magadheera Withdraws Court Case

Which was preventing the release of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon's Raabta?

Arvind saw Raabta and has made a decision to withdraw his injunction request. The makers of Raabta showed several differences right from the script along with the storyline and the presentation.

Raabta wins court case over Magadheera in Plagiarism Feud: Is this the real?

Explaining the misunderstanding, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series who has produced the film Raabta told TOI:"From day one we have maintained that our movie is not a copy of Magadheera, and that there is only a reincarnation bit that has a similar theme but then it has been in so many other films too. Magadheera withdraws." Today Magadheera team has also confirmed it officially that they have withdrawn the plagiarism case which they slapped against the makers of Bollywood film "Raabta" and have agreed to an out of court settlement instead.

With stress levels reaching new heights, and the producer of Magadheera, Allu Arvind, refusing to entertain any reasoning by the Raabta makers, there seemed no way out.

Lawyers representing "Raabta" makers argued at a court on Wednesday that the background of the lead characters, their storyline development, the role of villain, the foreign locations and most importantly the finale of the film are completely and materially different from "Magadheera".

The lawyers also highlighted that the concern regarding the iconic scene where a 100 warriors feature had been lifted and used in Raabta were completely unfounded. They said that in their film, unlike Magadheera, the villainous character was, in fact, an anti-hero and a parallel interest point for the heroin. Now at least one thing is cleared to everyone that Raabta is not copied said by them. Neither were any such similarities pointed nor has the Plaintiff filed its script for the judge to make a comparison.

Both the parties appeared in the court and the decision has been out. After Raabta's trailer released in April, Twitter was also quick to notice the similarities between the two films.

MUMBAI-The verdict on whether the Jun. 9 release "Raabta" is, or is not, lifted from the Telugu hit "Magadheera" will be out on June 8, just 24 hours' pre-release!
