EA Reveals New Co-Op Only Game Called A Way Out

Today, EA announced a brand new game called A Way Out from the creator of Brothers: Tale of Two Sons.

The game will feature co-op gameplay, but the developers stated that it's best experienced in split-screen rather than online.

In terms of production values the cinematic qualities we can see the announcement trailer below are far above what you might consider traditional indie fare. Players will get to experience their individual back stories and their growing bond as the story unfolds. A quick look at their Twitter seems to indicate that they've been working on their studio/game for about two years already. Vincent can grab the cart while Leo provides a distraction, or it could be Vincent doing the smuggling while Leo takes out the guard. Yes, it may be a split-screen co-op game, but players can also play online, said Fares. We're always happy to see some replay value in games and A Way Out appears to have that. This is to ensure you know what it going on at all times. The game will also support multiple solutions, rather like a Hitman or Deus Ex title. One player can be playing while another is watching a cutscene pertaining to their chosen character.

However, requiring another player to progress in the game may come with certain issues.

It's coming in 2018 to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

No Way Out is now scheduled to be released in early 2018.
