Rand Paul Safe After Shooting At Congressional Baseball Practice

Scalise was practicing at an Alexandria, Va., park with other Republican lawmakers for the annual Congressional Baseball Game scheduled to take place Thursday. Scalise is reported to be stable.

Paul said he "wasn't sure where the shots were coming from".

"There are two staffers in right field, only about 10 feet from me but there's about a 20-foot fence separating me from them". "Then I hear another 'blam, ' and I realize there's an active shooter". They said he immediately stopped his workout and left, guided by his own Capitol Police detail, which is always at his side.
