Gingrich says Comey may be under investigation

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich responded to the shooting at a Republican baseball practice on Wednesday by saying it was "part of a pattern" of behavior on the left.

On Tuesday morning, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich appeared on The View, where he bemoaned the negative press that has plagued President Donald Trump.

Gingrich, in his reference to the "deep state", suggests that there is an orchestrated conspiracy against the president from within the established government, whereby career government employees hostile to the administration are actively involved in ridding Washington of President Trump. Gingrich's legal interpretation: "the president can not obstruct justice".

On college campuses, for example, students who support Trump say they have received threats - even death threats, Gingrich said. This is what Gingrich said to Sean Hannity last night:"I don't think they're going to get the president, but they're going to get somebody, and they're going to get him for something".

Gingrich reversed course from a month ago, when he tweeted praise of Mueller, calling him "a superb choice" to head the Russian Federation investigation.

In his upcoming book, Gingrich recalled he told Trump to expect to spend between $70 million and $80 million for the presidential campaign, The New York Post reported.

Gingrich admitted that Trump reportedly told him he managed to spend much less. I think that it will be interesting to watch.

They wrote that in the "letter to Comey informing him of his dismissal, the president said he was acting on a recommendation from Rosenstein". It could be that Comey's ouster was corrupt in some other way: Maybe Trump didn't want Comey to find some unpleasant dealings unrelated the Russian Federation investigation.

"Technically, the President of the United States can not obstruct justice", Gingrich said at the National Press Club at a Washington, D.C., event while promoting his book "Understanding Trump". Gingrich added that no one on Capitol Hill has proof he (Trump) colluded with the Russians. "This is an Indian hunting party", Gingrich said. And now I get an independent counsel.

But running for president and being the chief executive are two different things. Moreover, Gingrich puts Mueller at the forefront of it.
