Trump Is Now Under Investigation for Obstruction of Justice

Friday's tweets are the latest in a week of angry social media responses by the president over a report by The Washington Post that Mueller was looking into whether Trump obstructed justice.

In a tweet earlier Friday, Trump said nobody has been able to show any proof about his collusion with Moscow after months of investigations.

In another early morning tweet, Trump said that despite months of investigation no proof has been presented of any collusion he may have had with the Kremlin.

"If he fires Mueller, I will tell you, we are right on the brink of a constitutional crisis", the IL senator said.

Trump aides have urged him to stop meddling in the investigative process, but law enforcement and intelligence officials have recounted how the president has asked them to push back against the probe or to publicly exonerate him. She was appointed by former President Barack Obama to serve on the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board and worked as an assistant attorney general in the George W. Bush administration, according to WHO-TV.

Those who have agreed to be interviewed include: Dan Coats, director of national intelligence; Mike Rogers, chief of the National Security Agency; and Richard Ledgett, who recently left his post as deputy to Rogers.

In a second Tweet, Trump echoed previous claims that he is the victim of what he says is the "single greatest witch hunt in American political history".

Trump has regularly turned to Twitter to blast reports about his alleged connections to Russia or the inquiries into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives.

"The FBI leak of information regarding the president is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal", a spokesman for Mr Trump's legal team, Mr Mark Corallo, said.

Rosenstein handed the reigns of that investigation over to independent Special Counsel Robert Mueller about one week after Comey's dismissal.

Yet Trump seemed to dispute that narrative weeks ago when he told NBC's Lester Holt he had Russian Federation on has mind.

Mr. Trump did receive assurances that he wasn't personally under investigation, as fired FBI Director James Comey reiterated in testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee last week. "Witch Hunt", tweeted the president as he both confirmed a blockbuster Washington Post story from Wednesday and contradicted himself yet again about his decision to fire James Comey in May.
