Wonder Woman Hits $500 Million Worldwide

Wonder Woman Hits $500 Million Worldwide

Wonder Woman stands a good chance of making the top 10 box office chart for all superhero movies in history, according to an analysis by the site Capeless Crusader.

According to a report from Bustle, while Gal Gadot's salary has in fact been public knowledge for some time that does not mean it is not getting people talking. Cut to 2017, when Wonder Woman is a massive success and has proven to be the most successful film in the DCEU. This is quite disappointing considering how successful the movie is doing at the Box Office. "We know these films to be "Batman v. Superman: "Dawn of Justice", the aforementioned "#Wonder Woman" standalone film, and the upcoming "Justice League".

In its third weekend of release, Wonder Woman has crossed the $500 Million mark.

Gal Gadot's salary in Wonder Woman was much lower compared to the first outings of her male counterparts. Marvel is a step further with Robert Downey Jr earning some $50 million for his role as Tony Stark/ Iron Man in The Avengers.

Back in 2014, Variety reported that when Gadot signed a three-picture deal with Warner Bros. Chris Evans for "Captain America: The First Avengers" also only got a base pay of $300,000.

Patty Jenkins' historic female-led superhero movie, Wonder Woman, has been breaking nearly every single record across the books since the day of its release. And now, it appears Wonder Woman has a shot at another major box office list. For comparison, Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, earned $18.4 million for his debut in Superman: Man of Steel; while Ben Affleck, who plays Batman, will earn $26.3 million for his solo movie, The Batman.

A lot of that success comes down to Gadot's powerful and vulnerable performance. Yet, it still begs the question of whether Gadot was compensated only that amount for the overwhelming success "Wonder Woman" has received.
