Dwyane Wade opts in for 2nd year with Bulls

Dwyane Wade opts in for 2nd year with Bulls

Jimmy Butler has been mentioned in trade talks of late, but there is one hurdle: he reportedly wants to remain with the Chicago Bulls. In Chicago's front office, there has always been an inkling to ship Butler so that he doesn't walk out of the door for nothing in return. In conclusion, Butler would be sent to Cleveland, so the Cavaliers would basically do a Love-for-Butler trade in a more complicated way.

Earlier today, meanwhile, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith speculated Boston would use its recently acquired No. 3 overall pick to land Butler.

For a deal with Cleveland to work, there would have to be a third team involved.

As one league executive texted last night, "It's either Boston or Cleveland but he's going". If Cleveland were to trade for Butler it would be a more complicated deal, involving multiple teams, according to Stein.

Vincent Goodwill of CSNChicago.com is reporting that Wade has chose to take his player option with the team and return to the franchise in the 2017-2018 season.

There are moves to made before the NBA Draft, but if you believe this report, Jimmy Butler will not be in Chicago by the time the season rolls around in September.

CSN Chicago also reports that Butler, unlike Paul George of the Pacers, wants to stay with his current team. Watch out for Cleveland and Boston as the most logical spots.
