Lakers rumored to have offer on table for Paul George from Pacers

The NBA Draft begins Thursday, June 22, 2017 but the pick projections and trade talks are in full swing. They just made what appeared to be somewhat of a head-scratcher of a deal initially, sending former second overall pick D'Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov (with his bloated contract) to the Brooklyn Nets for Brook Lopez and the 27th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. Because the Lakers might not want to risk George going to, say, a contender with one LeBron James who could convince him to stick around, Los Angeles might have to give up something to get the forward now instead of in free agency.

One team source told ESPN.com there is "zero chance" the Lakers will include either this year's No. 2 pick or Brandon Ingram (last year's No. 2 pick) in a trade for George. Let's see if Paul George is a Laker by the end of the night. He played in 60 games and was sidelined late in the season with a fractured elbow.

It seems like the Lakers are pulling every thread to get Paul #George, ever since George has expressed his interest in signing with the Lakers once his contract is done this 2018, Magic has wanted George to come early even if it means passing on Lonzo Ball.

The Bulls are shopping Butler leading up to Thursday's NBA Draft. Lee's option for next season is worth $1.6 million. But the front office is likely not done trying to make moves.

Pistons president and coach Stan Van Gundy has said repeatedly that he expected the 30-year-old Baynes to opt out and seek a better deal, the Detroit Free Press reports.
