Madrid following Mbappe and Donnarumma but not interested in De Gea - Perez

Madrid following Mbappe and Donnarumma but not interested in De Gea - Perez

A Spanish state prosecutor accused former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho of tax fraud worth 3.3 million euros ($3.7 million) in unpaid taxes on Tuesday.

Allegations of tax fraud - which have been denied by the Portugal worldwide - as well as the possibility of seeking a new challenge have brought his time in Spain to question and Ronaldo admits he's keen to see the Red Devils tie up a deal for the reigning Ballon d'Or victor.

Real Madrid and Man United are not directly involved.

Ronaldo is with Portugal at the Confederations Cup in Russian Federation and has not said anything about his future since the A Bola story was published.

"Obviously something has happened, something has affected him, his credibility".

But Perez claimed that he got to know about all of these from the newspapers.

Ronaldo's silence has only fuelled talk of a return to Old Trafford, where he became a fans' favourite having flourished under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson before joining Madrid in a world-record deal eight years ago.

Mourinho is yet to comment on the allegations.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are both said to be vying for his signature, but Perez came out fighting when quizzed on the subject.

The 32-year-old signed a new contract with Real until 2021 last November and has a release clause of one billion euros ($1.11 billion).

Perez - who is reportedly dealing with an unhappy Cristiano Ronaldo amid tax claims in Spain - was asked about Madrid's interest in Mbappe and he admitted the LaLiga champions are following the 18-year-old.

"We do not see any reason not to continue with the players we have, including James", he added.

United have already signed one player - Benfica's Victor Lindelof.

Perez is right in saying that Ronaldo, even at a club of such regal power like Madrid, exists in a completely different realm of importance to anybody else in the footballing world. "The truth is that we have great goalkeepers".
