Manchester United confident of securing Ivan Perisic transfer this week

Inter Milan manager Luciano Spalletti has revealed he intends to speak with Ivan Perisic amid speculation the winger wants to leave the club for Manchester United.

Miguel Delaney, the publication's chief football writer, claims that the Croatian global has already agreed personal terms with United, and the move could be completed next week.

With the FFP issues now behind them, the Serie A side can basically ask what they want from the Red Devils for the 28-year-old, and that appears to be something between €50-60m.

The Independent understand the Old Trafford club are confident of completing a deal to sign Perisic this week in a deal worth between £45m and £50m. "Perisic is an important player for us, we're counting on him". In an ideal world, the Portuguese tactician would have had his entire squad available to him early, but both he and Man Utd have encountered difficulties across the board so far this summer.

"In any case, I will say this: we are Inter and we can choose to make different decisions to the ideas of the players", Spalletti added.

The Croatian global moved to the San Siro from Wolfsburg in 2015 and has just come of the back of an excellent campaign having scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions.

At the weekend, Perisic teased United fans by sharing a picture on Instagram of himself with a friend at the airport.
