Police arrest teen in London over acid-attacks

His injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

London Ambulance Service said they were called to the first attack on Hackney Road at 10.16pm, while police were alerted to the night's final assault at 11.37pm.

Within 13 minutes, another attack occurred in neighbouring Stoke Newington, leaving the victim with life-changing facial injuries.

"The victim had been on a moped when another moped, containing two male riders pulled up alongside him".

A fourth incident, in Chatsworth Road, Stoke Newington, occurred at about 11.37pm.

All five victims were taken to hospitals. We await an update on the extent of his injuries.

At 10.49pm, a man was reported to have had a corrosive substance thrown in his face by two males on a moped in Upper Street junction with Highbury Corner. A fifth incident was also reported to police soon after.

The victims have all been taken to hospital. Resham Khan suffered "life changing" burns to her face, and her cousin was hospitalised in a coma. "A crime scene remains in place".




A man on a moped was in traffic when two men on a moped pulled up alongside him, sprayed liquid in his face, before stealing his vehicle.

At that stage, there were two mopeds with young men on them.
