Action 'Aladdin' has yet to Cast its Lead Diamonds in the Rough

Action 'Aladdin' has yet to Cast its Lead Diamonds in the Rough

The Internet has spoken and Disney Studios finally answered! Disney can't find a single man who can fit the role of Aladdin to star in the musical.

While the team might be struggling with finding the right actor, Aladdin fans seem to be convinced that Avan Jogia should play the lead and admittedly, the actor does show an uncanny resemblance to the charming cartoon character. Apparently, they're having a hard time finding a middle eastern actor that can sing and dance, which is patently ridiculous and has Twitter scratching their heads because, like, there are just so many options.

Guy Ritchie is one step closer to making "Aladdin" wishes come true for nearly everyone - on the Internet, anyway. Production for the "Aladdin" live-action movie was supposed to begin in July this year, but this has been postponed as auditions drag on.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, "finding a male lead in his 20s who can act and sing has proven hard - especially since the studio wants someone of Middle Eastern or Indian descent". They have named Hrithik Roshan, Zayn Malik, Fawad Khan, Dev Patel, Ranveer Singh, Avan Jogia and Priyanka Chopra who can very well be cast in the movie Aladdin.

Meanwhile, Will Smith is the sole actor confirmed to be in "Aladdin" for now, Den of Geek reported.
