Comic-Con 'Game of Thrones' Trailer Teases Epic Meet-Up

Comic-Con 'Game of Thrones' Trailer Teases Epic Meet-Up

The smash hit HBO series unveiled a brand new trailer during Comic-Con San Diego on September 21, teasing moments from future episodes to come, including an awe-inspiring meeting between Melisandre and Daenerys that drove convention attendees into hysterics.

The minute-long preview covers several various highlights in the show, giving fans a further glimpse of the forming alliances and returning characters. Hodor actor Kristian Nairn moderated the gathering.

Note: This post discusses a plot twist that's been revealed by HBO from an upcoming Game of Thrones episode.

- Sophie Turner says that Sansa has grown dramatically since the start of the series and doesn't look at the world through rose-colored glasses anymore. "She's woke now", she told the audience, "she's real woke". "She's cool, she trusts no one whether it be man or woman or family or not and I think that's important when you play the game of thrones". Cersei argues that "the Mad King's daughter" poses a threat, while Jon makes a case for the assistance that Daenerys (and her dragons) could provide in the coming battle against the White Walkers.

"There is still that sibling rivalry back from when they were young".

As for the new Hand of the Queen, while Missandei and Greyworm aren't totally comfortable around Tyrion and his drinking, Emmanuel agrees he should be Hand instead of her, since "Tyrion knows the enemy and is much more experienced with being a Hand and the political landscape".

- Turner believes that Sansa and Jon need to realize they have to "stop fighting for ultimate power and learn how to work together".

Which cast member are you most excited to see at this year's SDCC panel? The secretive show played coy about his fate between seasons five and six.

Once again, the cast and crew of HBO's Game of Thrones are taking the Hall H stage Comic-Con International.
