Strong Storms For The Plains — Sunday Morning Weather

Strong Storms For The Plains — Sunday Morning Weather

For the second half of the weekend, much nicer weather will be surrounding our area.

Storms will come to an end around sunset with lows tonight again in the upper 70s.

Rain chances return on Monday with off and on showers and storms expected and temperatures in the low 80s.

We will see highs in the 80s for the majority of the week, and plenty of sunshine to go around. Slow strengthening is forecast while curving away from the USA east coast. This will keep highs in the low 80s. Expect more clouds than sun Monday, with showers decreasing through the day. There may be a few more clouds on Tuesday than there will be on Monday. A subtropical ridge of high pressure will also strengthen over the area. Lows will fall into the lower 60s.

A cold front will be passing through our region this afternoon bringing rain and thunderstorm chances along with it. Rain will continue into the evening and overnight hours but showers will struggle to make it to the I-20 corridor. As forecasted, Saturday did come with a fair share of showers and thunderstorms.
