Dawood Ibrahim in 'talks' with Centre for his return: Raj Thackeray

In his maiden Facebook post on his newly launched page, Thackeray said the return of Dawood would be used by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as its biggest achievement moving into the 2019 general elections. What I have learnt is that Dawood is unwell and wants to come back and breathe his last in India.

Fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim wants to return to India and is now negotiating a settlement with the BJP-led government at the Centre, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray claimed on Thursday. "But the reality is that Dawood himself wants to return, it would be no real success for the government", he was reported as saying in his video speech. "He's trying for a settlement with Centre, but the government will portray it as its victory". "While Dawood wants to come back on his own, the BJP will use it by getting him back before the elections to get votes", Thackeray said at a function in Mumbai. "But, the BJP will claim credit for this to win the next elections", Thackeray predicted.

Dawood is wanted by India for his alleged role in the 1993 serial blasts that had killed over 200 people. "They will not bring him back, it is his wish", he added.

On the other hand, there have been talks about the government working on bringing back underworld don Dawood Ibrahim to India. He came down heavily on the bullet train project, that the aim was to benefit the citizens of Gujarat at the cost of Maharashtra. With his debut on the social media networking sites like Facebook, Raj Thackrey went live where he talks about the page and why he joined it.
