Google Assistant on phones can finally send videos and music to Chromecast

Many people have been pleased to see such unbundling, as it makes it far easier for Google to release updates for individual components without having to wait for the next big Android update to roll out.

Google is rolling out a new Duo integration for its own Pixel, Pixel 2, Android One, and Nexus phones to allow users to place a video call directly from the Android Phone, Contacts, and Messages apps.

Jan Jedrzejowicz, Product Manager, Phone app of Google Duo. If on the other hand, you and the person you want to make a video call to are not on the same carrier, Google Duo will connect your video through the installed app.

Google has also posted a new support note for making video calls with the latest versions of the Android Phone, Contacts and Messages apps. We're working with our carrier and device partners to bring this experience to more Android devices over time.

What is expressly clear from Google's announcement is that your video calls will be routed through your carrier's ViLTE service.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL default launcher which comes with bottom search bar is now available to Download. It provides you with general information about your battery and how you are using it.

We tested it on a Google Pixel ourselves and found that, while the AR Stickers and Motion Photos didn't work, Face Retouching and the exposure lock were functional. You can now make video calls within the Duo app. Don't forget to check out our hands-on video where Kellen goes into detail.
