Tim Horton's selling hot wing lattes in Buffalo, New York

It was only a matter of time until some foodie hipster chose to combine the joys of coffee with, erm, buffalo wing sauce...

The Buffalo News reports the city's Tim Hortons franchises were also first to receive new espresso machines to make the lattes, steaming the milk until frothy for a more potent espresso "than the previously tepid mix".

That's great, but what does a Buffalo-flavored latte taste like?

Topped with whipped cream and a dash of "zesty" buffalo seasoning, it might just be the oddest drink to ever hit coffee shops.

"Been on the verge of throwing up for a couple hours now, and Tim Hortons having a "Buffalo Latte" might be what pushes me over the edge", another customer tweeted.

It's part of a promo only occurring at locations in Buffalo, New York.

The Buffalo Latte starts at $2.79 and will be offered at two Tim Horton Buffalo restaurants located at 4849 Transit Road in Depew, New York and 3470 Main Street in Buffalo, New York while supplies last.

The promo photos for the latte show the red powder-dusted drinks alongside a plate of the famous hot wings, which may or may not be a serving suggestion - although chicken wings are certainly not a staple of the Tim Hortons menu. "The unlikely pairing comes together to create an unexpectedly delicious sweet and spicy treat".

The reaction online to the news of the sweet and spicy beverage was divided.
