Marcus Mariota to start game against Colts

Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota will start on Mondy night against the Indianapolis Colts, the team confirmed.

Andrew Luck was ruled out for this game early on in the week as he works his way back. No word on if he is 100% on Monday, but the Titans must feel even a limited Mariota gives them a better chance at winning than Matt Cassel. The Colts' offense, sparked by the play of T.Y. Hilton, has managed to beat two of the league's 0-6 teams in San Francisco and Cleveland.

The Titans need to have Mariota on the field in a crucial game. Backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett had 314 yards on 22-for-34 passing with an interception while Marlon Mack ran for 91 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Their defense has been predictably terrible and they are still waiting for Andrew Luck to return.

At 2-3 on the season, Tennessee is tied with Indianapolis for last place in a wide-open AFC South heading into Monday night's matchup. I think they'll be able to hem in Tennessee's power running game and keep this one close enough to cover.

Below are the results for this weekend's game and the schedule for Week 7 (all times Eastern).

The Titans watched him closely during the week, limiting him in practices.
