Lena Headey: Star alleges Weinstein was 'furious' after she rejected his advances

"'Oh come on mate, it would be like kissing my dad. let's go get a drink, get back to the others'".

GoT star, Lena Headey recently took to Twitter and penned a thread about where and how Harvey Weinstein harassed her and it's a must-read.

Years later, the actress describes being subjected to what has been called Weinstein's signature move, in which the producer allegedly invites actresses to his hotel room under a professional pretext, only to sexually harass or assault them.

The British actress, who plays Cersei Lannister in the HBO fantasy drama, has become the latest high-profile star to accuse Weinstein of harassment.

"Game of Thrones" actress Lena Headey recently detailed her uncomfortable encounter with Harvey Weinstein. "I didn't know if I wanted to be a part of the industry any more if this is what it was", she said.

Larissa Gomes was a 21-year-old actress about 17 years ago when she was working on the Toronto set of "Get Over It", a Miramax-produced teen flick, she wrote in an account emailed to The Times this week.

In addition to writing that "The Brothers Grimm" director Terry Gilliam "bullied" her, Headey says Weinstein - the cofounder of the film's studio Miramax at the time - asked her to talk a walk with him. After their breakfast meeting in a hotel, he asked her to accompany him up to his room under the pretense of picking up a script.

'We walked to the lift and the energy shifted, ' Headey described.

Holly recounted that she followed him into the bedroom part of the suite as he continued talking. He was marching me forward, not a word.

Headey says he then marched her to his room with his hand on her back, but then his key card wouldn't open the door.

"I got into my auto and cried", the actress wrote. Headey says that Weinstein paid for her vehicle home and whispered in her ear, "Don't tell anyone about this, not your manager, not your agent". "I have my own experiences that have come back to me very vividly and I find it really hard to sleep, hard to think, hard to communicate a lot of the feelings that I've been having about anxiety, the guilt for not speaking up earlier", she said, in a report in The Guardian. He ended up forcibly taking her downstairs and out of the hotel by the arm and Headey said she felt "powerless".

Meanwhile, Weinstein has through his spokeswoman "unequivocally denied" any allegations of non-consensual sex after three actresses said he had raped them, according to an article in the New Yorker.
