Shooting at Cousin Stizz Show in Atlanta Leaves 2 Dead, 2 Injured

Two people were killed and two more injured in a shooting at The Masquerade in Atlanta Sunday night.

The show's headliner was Cousin Stizz and the shooting occurred just before he was to take the stage.

Four people are believed to have been injured at The Masquerade venue on Sunday night, with two suffering fatal injuries and two described by police as being in a stable condition. One died at the scene, the other at Grady Memorial Hospital.

According to investigators, a lone man approached two others and fired his gun before fleeing the venue.

After firing off a few shots, the gunman ran along with victims and other patrons out of the club.

Following the incident, Stizz released a statement on Twitter on Monday morning (Nov. 12), expressing how "completely heartbroken" he is about the situation. I've always called my shows family reunions because they're never anything but fun, safe, good vibes and positivity.

One witness told WSB-TV: 'Two other females came behind them like, "oh my God, they're dead!", and it was insane. "My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families", he wrote. After shooting sprees that went down in Sutherland Springs, Texas and, perhaps most horrifically, at an outdoor music festival in Las Vegas, the questions surrounding gun control and what more US politicians can do to curb the death toll remain rampant throughout the music industry. The shooter "took issue" and argued with the fans who'd climbed onstage and argued with them.
