Giant Ape, Wolf, and Dwayne Johnson in 'Rampage' Trailer

Giant Ape, Wolf, and Dwayne Johnson in 'Rampage' Trailer

The first trailer for the movie is here.

"Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle", this isn't.

Dwayne Johnson takes on three genetically mutated creatures in the action adventure 'Rampage, ' based on the 1980s arcade game.

Rampage follows primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), as he attempts to save his best friend, a silverback gorilla named George, who has mutated into a enormous creature capable of tearing down buildings. That is, of course, until a rogue genetic experiment causes George to mutate into a very big, King Kong-sized monster and start smashing things.

Johnson used to be franchise fuel, with his casting injecting new life into the Journey and Fast and Furious franchises, but that's really not the case anymore.

San Andreas director Brad Peyton is at the helm of the project, which Warner Bros.is releasing April 20.

The trailer frames Okoye as a man who would prefer to hang out with animals rather than humans. If they like you, they lick you. When they don't like you, they eat you. "My best friend is a rare albino gorilla named George".

In the movie, Dwayne Johnson plays the character of a primatologist David Okoye, who shares a special connection with some giant monsters. "It's 12- to 14-hour days of survival, and it's not quite survival either". The human supporting cast includes Naomie Harris, Malin Åkerman, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacy, Marley Shelton, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

"I was an animal lover before, but after this my love has become boundless".
