MS Dhoni Visits Kashmir, Crowd Screams 'Boom Boom Afridi'

We used to play in a huge ground where seniors also used to play and we used to run till the time they'd finish. Because when men-in-blue plays with Pakistani cricket team, then it is not just a game but emotions are connected. He was in the valley to boost the confidence of the players that are trying hard to bag a place in Team India.

The finals of Chinar Cricket Premier League was graced by the presence of former Indian captain MS Dhoni, who was the chief guest. It is not a simple decision, but a diplomatic and a political decision.

He also had visited an army school in Srinagar and interacted with aspiring cricketers in the border town of Uri. The two teams though were supposed to play six bilateral series (in home and away format) between 2015 and 2023. He clearly mentioned that if the government doesn't want them to play cricket with them, they will not be playing.

Kunzer is a Tehsil and the Municipal committee in the Baramulla district in the state of Jammu & Kashmir where the tournament was organised.

Dhoni has said that the Indian government will have a final say.

During an interaction with Kashmir's budding cricketers, according to NBT Hindi News, Dhoni said, "India-Pakistan is not just a series, but a lot more than that".

He later added, "Saying that it is just cricket is wrong, as it also has an impact on the Indian economy".

As per the International Cricket Council (ICC) Future Tours Programme, each of its member countries has to play at least once against each other and if India chooses not to play with Pakistan, the country will lose points to the rival country.
