22-Year-Old Rapper Meets 81-Year-Old Words With Friends Opponent

Spencer Sleyon and Roz Guttman met online while playing the Scrabble-like mobile phone game Words With Friends about a year ago.

The pair has played over 300 games and formed a long-distance bond. Today I got to go to Florida and meet her in person'.

Their meeting was made possible by NY pastor Amy Butler, who added: 'Sweet day today with Spencer and his Words With Friends friend, Roz, watching them bond in person for the first time'. Yet the two became unlikely friends as they continued to play Words with Friends matches against one another.

An online game brought together two people that might not have met otherwise, and the internet can't handle it.

He was apparently impressed with Guttman played the word "phat" in an early game, while the retiree was impressed with the "masterful alliteration" in Sleyon's username, "FUCKFACEFILTH", according to The Root. Sleyon told Washington, D.C.

Pastor Amy Butler of The Riverside Church, who accompanied Spencer on his first ever trip to Florida, reacted on Twitter as well. When Sleyon was visiting his friend a while back, Butler overheard them talking about Guttman.

As of Saturday morning, Spencer's tweet had amassed more than 120,000 retweets, 520,000 likes and 2,600 comments.

The app itself responded to the story on Twitter.

"Whatever people want to take from this story and however it makes them feel, I'm just glad and Rosalind and I can bring that to people", he said.
