Winter Weather Advisory issued for parts of northwestern Colorado

The strong winds are forecast to continue into Tuesday, bringing a drop in temperatures into the teens and low 20s for later in the week. Rain will changeover to snow as temperatures fall from Monday afternoon through Monday night. The wind will start to increase by mid-day out of the NW at 20-45 miles per hour with higher gusts.

The National Weather Service Office in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Warning for central and northern St. Louis County and northern Cook and Lake Counties from 6 p-m Monday to noon on Tuesday.

Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times due to falling and some blowing snow. If you travel, make sure to let someone know your travel plans and have a charged phone with you.




A quick burst of snow is expected in the mountains Sunday night into Monday morning, according to the National Weather Forecast.

"Parts of the area will have 3-6" of snow fall with some locally higher amounts possible.
