A 20 year old student of Osmania University allegedly committed suicide inside the hostel.

The student identified as E Murali was a first year student of M.Sc.(Physics) and stayed at the Maneru hostel.

The police who rushed to the spot at 3pm as the resentment started, recovered a suicide note form the pocket of the deceased, which was purported written by him says, I am unable to continue my studies.

Osmania University campus in Hyderabad erupted with protests on Sunday after a post-graduate student was found hanging in the men's washroom.

Murali, a first-generation student, hailed from Dulapur village in Jagadevpur Mandal, Medak district. They pointed out the difference between Murali's handwriting and the writing in the reported suicide note. The exams are around the corner and I am scared that I will fail.

The Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC), which is organising meetings against unemployment in the state said youths are committing suicide as the state government is failing to deliver on its promises.

The note read that he had never failed in any examination.

"After being confined for more than three hours in the OU police station, they released us on Monday morning", the two journalists said. The Times of India report added that unemployement was cited as a reason for the suicide by the student leaders. Shouting "KCR down, down", students burnt effigy of the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in front of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. Student unions are demanding Rs 50 lakh compensation for Murali's family.
