TVS Motor launches 'TVS Apache RR 310'

Launched at a price of ₹ 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom), the bike had been in development since two years and it shares its underpinnings with the BMW G 310 R thanks to the collaboration between TVS and BMW Motorrad. TVS Apache RR 310, one of the must awaited bik ein the 300 cc section has been hevaily inspired from its concept model including the aerodynamic front fairing with a large windscreen. The introduction of this motorcycle marks TVS's entry into the super-premium segment in both domestic as well as worldwide market. Being one of the most crucial bikes for TVS, the company has put in some serious man hours, putting the RR through a number of tests like the wind tunnel test for aerodynamics and track tests on multiple circuits in order to ideal its riding dynamics and handling characteristics.

The new Apache RR 310 looks striking, to say the least. The engine is mated to a 6-speed super-slick gear box that offers a precise and sharp race-shift experience.

The motorcycle has a top speed of 160 kmph, and a good pick up as it manages to accelerate from 0 kmph to 60 kmph in less than 3 seconds. The motorcycle uses a unique reverse inclined DOHC (double overhead cam) engine with LCOC (liquid-cooled oil coolant) technology. TVS Apache RR 310 Flagship Sports Bike has been the long-awaited model. The Apache RR 310 gets a smooth back segment with seating for two and an intriguing LED back light.

TVS claims that the decades-long racing experience of TVS Racing has been used to develop the Apache RR 310 while the pilot tests have been conducted with real users whose feedback on the development and performance of bike were satisfying. It would be available in 2 impressive colours - Racing Red and Sinister Black. Both, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, will be available as standard on the TVS Apache RR 310.

According to Radhakrishnan, the premium motorcycle segment accounts for 14% (bikes in the 150cc to 500cc) of the total motorcycle category in the country and is growing at 10% every year.
