Winter Siege, Call of Duty: WWII's first season event, begins Saturday

Call of Duty: WWII was originally released on November 3, 2017, and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

Check out the full reveal from Activision and Sledgehammer Games below. Through stunning visuals and intense audio, players storm the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, march across France to liberate Paris and ultimately push forward into Germany in some of the most monumental battles of all-time.

In addition to all of this, a new NPC called "Captain Butcher", will appear in the Headquarters. The definitive World War II next generation experience also introduces Nazi Zombies, an all-new cooperative mode featuring a unique standalone storyline set during World War II that's full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping action.

The second week of the Winter Siege event marks the limited return of Gun Game as part of a non-stop schedule of special double XP playlists. Today that all changes, as developer Sledgehammer Games have officially announced some brand new details about the game's Winter Siege event. Other items will also be available for unlock during the Winter Siege by completing Collection Bounties in the game, or earned randomly through Winter Siege supply drops.

Call of Duty WW2's next seasonal event is the month-long Winter Siege.

It's all about keeping things festive, with Carentan doused in snow and themed for winter. Captain Butcher visits Headquarters bearing Winter Siege Division uniforms, cosmetic items and weapon variants. Gun Game challenges players to get a kill with each weapon in a round, which can be a challenge if you're not used to playing with all the various arms.

The first free Supply Drop is available from Friday December 8th until Monday December 11th and, from then on, a new gift will arrive each Monday until Winter Siege ends.
