Prince Harry, Meghan Markle release engagement photos

Prince Harry and his fiancee, American actress Meghan Markle, have shared their official engagement photos.

She will also be spending Christmas with the Royals, as a guest of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The original gown was presented on the runway in July without the more modest, nude-colored lining added to Markle's dress. Her groom looked dapper in a blue suit. It features a diamond from Botswana accompanied by two smaller diamonds from Diana's jewelry collection, which the Prince said he wanted to include "to make sure she's with us on this insane journey together".

The tradition means they have followed Harry's parents, who released their engagement photos in 1981, and his older brother William, who released images with Catherine in 2010.

Harry proposed on a "cozy night" in early November at Nottingham Cottage, Markle said.

In the other photo, the ring is dominant in the black-and-white close-up shot. Harry and Markle hired photographer Alexi Lubomirksi.

Britain's Prince Harry will marry his U.S. actress girlfriend Meghan Markle early next year after the couple became engaged earlier this month, Clarence House announced on Monday.

"Not only was it an incredible honour [sic], but also an vast privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple's love for each other".

"I can not help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together", Lubomirski said.

Mark's Ralph and Russo dress is not available, but, according to People.com, you can find a similar look by Tadashi Shoji for just $428 on Nordstrom's website.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be from wildly different worlds, but both, in their own way, will have an acute awareness of the importance of personal branding.

Harry and Markle will marry May 19, 2018 at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
