Eden Hazard voted into UEFA Fan's Team of the Year

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) website has concluded its voting, as a result of which the readers have selected the 2017 Team of the Year.

To note, Manchester United midfielder and Armenian national squad captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan was among the candidates for the UEFA 2017 Team of the Year.

Many are also questioning how Harry Kane was omitted from the selection, with the 24-year old having scored 56 goals for club and country last year - more than any other player.

As is the norm, Real Madrid dominate the side - with Sergio Ramos, Marcelo, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Cristiano Ronaldo all included.

Despite becoming the world's most expensive player when he moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain and thriving in Ligue 1, Neymar did not make the cut.

The team is voted for by fans with nearly nine million votes cast and lines up in a 4-4-2 formation.

UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid, have five players in the team: Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo Vieira, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. Representatives of the UEFA.com Fans' Team of the Year will present the donation to the ICRC at an upcoming UEFA Champions League match.
