Kamala Mills fire: Two owners of '1 Above' pub arrested in Mumbai

Prior to Pathak's arrest, two managers of "1 Above" pub Kevin Bawa and Lisbon Lopez were also arrested in connection with the fire tragedy. The three absconding owners - Kripesh Sanghavi, Jigar Sanghavi and Abhijit Mankar - were arrested by Mumbai Police from Bandra late Wednesday.

Police said Tuli along with his wife Pritina were at large after coming to know about the case booked by the Mumbai police against him under Section 304 (II) (Culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The third partner, Abhijeet Mankar, was arrested early on Thursday morning, confirmed Mumbai police spokesperson Deepak Devraj.

After the Sanghvi brothers' arrest, sources said police acted on inputs shared by Vishal Karia. "Karia said that the moment the accused saw that the FIR named only them and not the Mojo's Bistro owners, they left without disclosing their location", said an officer. Anticipating that they will go to meet the lawyers, a police team was stationed at the lawyer's house.

The uncle-cousin (Rakesh Sanghavi and Aditya Sanghavi) were produced before the Bhoiwada Court and released on a bail of Rs 25,000.

A fire broke out in Mojo's Bistro and spread to the adjoining 1Above, also injuring 55 others.

The police made the arrests a day after taking into custody hotelier Vishal Kariya, who allegedly provided refuge to all three owners of 1Above.

On December 29, fire had swept through 1 Above and adjacent Mojo's Bistro resto pub in Kamala Mills compound in central Mumbai, resulting in the death of 14 people. Sanghvi brothers and Mankar have been absconding since the incident.
