Mini Reveals Updated 2019 Hardtop And Convertible Ahead Of Detroit

Due to launch in the United Kingdom on March 17, Mini's core models now come with front and rear LED lights as standard and optional matrix LED high beams. All new Mini models still come standard with a precise six-speed manual gearbox, but now the 3-Door Hatch, 5-Door Hatch and Convertible models will all be available with the new transmission.

Inside the Minis will now feature new leather in brown along with increased Mini customisation options.

Similarly, the range of metallic paint colours has expanded to include "Emerald Grey", "Starlight Blue" and "Solaris Orange".

Changes are the same, including new headights with adaptive LED, redesigned stoplights embedded with the Union Jack motif, new rims and exterior colors, as well as a ton of customization options. And you'd be right because although Mini chose to launch this vehicle right before winter shows its teeth, it will go on sale in the USA in March 2016, so right at the beginning of cabriolet season. First off, there's the new Mini logo. At the base is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol that produces 102hp in the Mini One, and the most efficient is a diesel of the same capacity that enables a claimed 26.3kpl in the Cooper D auto.

To cement its position as a fashion icon as much as an automotive one Mini is treating its most popular three-door, five-door, and convertible models to a minor makeover.

Another optional extra is the connected functions feature which incorporates real time traffic information, auto map updates via a phone connection, personal concierge service, and an internet online portal with news, weather and fuel price overview.

Further enhancing the updated look are new 17-inch light alloy wheels in the design styles Roulette Spoke two-tone and Propeller Spoke two-tone wheels can be ordered for all three Minis. As standard, a 6.5-inch touchscreen includes Bluetooth phone integration while Radio MINI Visual Boost and a navigation system are optionally available. This option also adds high-gloss Piano Black surfaces in the area of the doors and center console.

Not far behind is an updated Mini logo, which appears on the bonnet, tailgate, steering wheel, central instrument display, remote control and optional driver's side puddle lighting all models.
