Netanyahu not welcome in India: CPM

An Israeli news station aired an audio recording Monday of what it said was Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's son drunkenly bragging outside a strip club in 2015.

In addition, Netanyahu will give an inaugural speech at the Raisina Dialogue and meet with the Indo-Israeli CEOs at the forum here.

Netanyahu will be the first Israeli prime minister to visit India since the late Ariel Sharon traveled to the subcontinent in 2003.

India, which has deep defence and security ties with Israel, is expected to discuss ways to increase cooperation in multiple fields, including trade, technology, agriculture and water management during Netanyahu's four-day visit. India has a long and wide ranging defence cooperation with Israel. It was decided that both Prime Ministers should exchange visits. Ties between the two countries have flourished in numerous realms in recent years.

In the later part of 2017, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Ahmedabad and held roadshows with Modi while the two leaders inaugurated the bullet train project. They will also visit the iCreate innovation campus and center.

The piece says that contrary to Mr. Modi's support for the Israeli occupation, people of India have always stood in solidarity with the Palestinian people and against Israeli aggression: "The coalition headed by Netanyahu is the most right-wing government that Israel has had".

He said the visit will focus on the progress made between India and Israel since Modi's visit to Israel last summer, and on shaping the next 25 years of relations between the two countries.

18, Netanyahu and his wife Sara will attend an event in Mumbai titled "Shalom Bollywood", at which they will meet many important Indian cinema figures.
