Netflix Sneaks in a Wickedly Fun New Year Surprise

The trailer for the soon-to-be-released series, The End of the F***king World was released today on YouTube. The dark British drama-comedy is reportedly an adaptation of the 2013 graphic novel of the same name. Yahoo Entertainment has a first look at the show's trailer, featuring Alex Lawther and Jessica Barden as James and Alyssa, a pair of road-tripping teens eager to outrun their rapidly approaching maturity.

Meet James, a 17-year-old psychopath, and Alyssa, the girl he's made a decision to murder.

He then meets up with the emotionally disturbed Alyssa, whom he initially intends to kill, but ultimately becomes attracted to.

Of course, things don't go to plan and their road trip ends up taking them to places they never expected to go.

The new year has only just begun, but The End of the F***ing World is nigh.

And a new series coming to Netflix might be stepping a bit beyond the typical chaos that characterizes teenage years.

"The End of the F**king World" is set to hit Netflix on January 5th 2018.

So I greeted the news that the UK's Channel 4 would be adapting Forsman's first major work as a television miniseries, and Netflix would be bringing it stateside, with utter glee.

TEotFW is created and written by Jonathan Entwistle, and costars Game of Thrones' Gemma Whelan, as well as Steve Oram, Wunmi Mosaku, Christine Bottomley and Navin Chowdhry.
