Cindy Crawford Teams Up with Pepsi for Super Bowl LII Advertisement

The original ad aired during the 1992 Super Bowl, and featured Crawford in a tank top and jeans shorts while driving a Lamborghini, in which she stops at a dusty roadside gas station to buy a can of Pepsi.

To introduce the Pepsi Generations campaign, the brand will air a 30-second in-game advertisement called "This Is the Pepsi" during Super Bowl LII featuring iconic celebrities of Pepsi's past and present, including a new take on the famous 1992 Pepsi Super Bowl advertisement starring Cindy Crawford and this time, also her son Presley Gerber.

Of the news, Crawford said in a press release, "To this day, people come up to me to talk about how much they loved my original Pepsi spot from '92".

The ad marks the start of Pepsi's new global campaign "Pepsi Generations", which celebrates the soft drink brand's pop culture history spanning the course of 120 years. He first appearance in a Pepsi spot in 1992 turned the world on to her undeniable sex appeal.

Plus! In keeping with their return to their retro roots, the brand is bringing back its original can design from the era.

The new activation kicks off next month with an ad during Super Bowl LII and the Pepsi-sponsored half-time show.

PepsiCo, on the other hand, reported sales for its North America beverage unit fell 3% to $5.3 billion during the third quarter, prompting the company to say it would move marketing dollars back to Pepsi and Mountain Dew. Leading up to the game, fans can visit PepsiHalftime.com for behind-the-scenes looks into Justin's journey to the Pepsi Super Bowl LII Halftime Show.

For her part, Crawford is excited to rejoin the Pepsi family. A couple of years ago it replaced the people with emojis on giant Pepsi bottles for its PepsiMoji campaign.

The campaign, which will also feature other celebrities that have been part of Pepsi's marketing in the past, rolls in 55 markets across the globe and will include live pop-ups at various events across the USA beginning with the Super Bowl in Minneapolis. Similar to the first Pepsi Stuff campaign, fans can earn points to redeem for items like vintage T-shirts, LED signs and coolers. Pepsi Generations Live pop-up exhibits will guide fans through the evolution of how Pepsi's history has connected with people over generations.

"I was saying to Kaia, 'Presley and I are doing this commercial, ' and she was like, 'Wait".
