No HDR Lighting On Dark Souls Remastered

Dark Souls Remastered, probably in the top percentile of requested PC games given the state of the original version on PC and its popularity, is apparently one of several announcements due at a secret Nintendo Direct due to broadcast today. Don't worry if you're Switch-less; it's also coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC the same day. The upcoming sports game will also add some strategy by allowing gamers to figure out what kind of shot will have the best chance of earning a point.

From Software has announced the release of a Dark Souls Trilogy Box set. Not to mention it's the first time you can play a Dark Souls video game anywhere you want! Players can also play in assist mode, which allows players to tweak the games hard to a slower or faster pace including taking on features such as the inability to take damage. There's going to be a story mode and various tennis-based missions, which makes this a little different from the usual Mario Tennis offering. Players could also appear in each others' games to either help or hinder each others' progress, maintaining a community of dedicated players that is still active seven years later.

A surprise Nintendo Direct Mini presentation went live earlier this morning and the Japanese gaming company announced a bunch of new content for the Switch console. There isn't too much information at this time, beyond the usual release date, which is May 25th, and marketing spiel, but the below image has found its way onto Discord.

Hidden in the world of Dark Souls: Remastered are nine online covenants to uncover that will motivate your online interactions.

Dark Souls: Remastered will feature visual enhancements and will include the Artorias of the Abyss expansion. Finally, the port I may be most excited for is Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Switch, a tricky platformer made easier by the inclusion of Funky Kong when it releases on May 4th. Multiplayer will grow to include up to six players.
