White House Physician Declares Trump In 'Excellent Health' After Physical Exam

Akufo-Addo's comments follow a strongly worded African Union statement on Friday and a demand from African ambassadors at the United Nations for a retraction and an apology.

"I read those comments later last night, the first thing that came to my mind was very unfortunate, unhelpful", the Wisconsin Republican said Friday at the WisPolitics Luncheon in Milwaukee.

Rep. Al Green (D-Tx.), who previously introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump, said in a tweet that "Congressional condemnation of racist bigotry is not enough" and stated that he would once again force a vote on the House floor to impeach Trump.

Mr Durbin added, "When the question was asked about Haitians. he said, 'Haitians?" Made up by Dems.

And U.S. President Donald Trump unabashedly engaged in this plain, in-your-face, repugnant racism this week.

Part of the proposal, according to Durbin, dealt with the diversity visa lottery, a program the president wants to eliminate. "I've always believed that America is an idea, not definied by its people but by its ideals". I've not read one of them that's inaccurate. The White House denied that the president made those remarks. Instead, they spent the afternoon reacting to reports that President Donald Trump referred to their nation as a "shithole" and wanted to exclude Haitians from any special protected status.

Haiti's ambassador in Washington has also asked for an apology, as Trump reportedly specifically questioned the protections granted to Haitian immigrants after the quake. "But, if you're saying somebody's from a s--hole country, to me it doesn't make sense".

Trump revoked that protection, which officially ends on July 22, stoking anger and anxiety in the community that was only worsened by what he reportedly said on the subject in a meeting Thursday.

Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. "I think it fundamentally poisons the relationship with numerous countries", Peter Lewis, director of African Studies at Johns Hopkins University, told CNN. The president and all those attending the meeting know what I said and how I feel. "Because you might learn that people from some of those 'shithole countries" were slaves who were brought by force to help build this country". He has also considered recording all his meetings to prevent similar controversies in the future.
