Pittsburgh's Action Weather forecast: Cold, with scattered flurries

Temperatures were in the neighborhood of 30 degrees on Thursday, but fell short of getting above freezing in most spots. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 30s during this time. Highs will pop back into the 40s for many. Skies are mostly sunny throughout the day with light west-northwesterly winds at 5-10MPH. Highs will remain in the 50s through next week.

In the middle levels of the atmosphere, we'll see much warmer, southern air surging up into the Midwest. Rain chances return for the beginning of the next work week with a 70% chance for showers on Monday.

It will be around 40 on Tuesday and rain is likely. High temperatures will reach the lower to mid 50s, and with a sunny sky it should feel rather pleasant.

Stay warm and Happy Friday! Winds will be gusty and from the southeast Sunday as an area of low pressure moves to our north, dragging a cold front through the area by early Monday morning.

Temperatures will only cool into the 40s Saturday night, quickly heading higher on Sunday as humidity continues to increase.

Monday: Becoming cloudy and seasonable.
