Square Enix Changed How Cloud Strife Looks In 'Final Fantasy VII Remake'

For the field that Square Enix defines "HD Games" (which is basically equivalent to console games) a decrease in the number of released blockbuster titles caused a decline in overall sales year-on-year, despite the launch of Dragon Quest XI for PS4 and 3DS and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age for PS4.

In a series of Twitter posts yesterday Square Enix thanked users for feedback on the recently released benchmark and said the information will be used to fine-tune the performance of the game. News about the game, however, has been very scarce, with Square Enix being very secretive about the project and its progress.

The Mobius Final Fantasy event will use in-game assets from the PlayStation 4 remake including Cloud's model. Square Enix is sure to share with us more details about the game so stay tuned for later this year on all the relevant info as it comes our way. The exhibition will be running until February 28 at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo.

According to some of the fans in attendance, there's been a change in Cloud's design.

Now before you get too upset, given how iconic he is, apparently the redesign is for the better and is apparently the closest to the original design, so presumably it won't be too far-fetched or outlandish.

It says this Cloud looks more natural and youthful compared to how you normally see him outside of the original game. The screenshots also featured other members of Avalanche, with Twitter reports saying that Biggs is "super handsome", Wedge is "refreshingly chubby", and Jessie is "cute". Sadly, it seems like these screenshots will be released online only at a later time. Unfortunately, there's no word yet or when those aforementioned screenshots will be made available for the public to witness on their own.
