Eden Hazard speaks about 'idol' Zidane and possible Real Madrid move

It goes without saying but Chelsea have to do everything to get Eden Hazard to sign a new deal.

The Reds see Real Madrid star Marco Asensio as the man to fill in Coutinho's boots at Anfield and are said to have already tabled an offer to land the Spaniard.

Eden Hazard has now spoken about his potential move to Real Madrid, with reports linking him with his idol Zinedine Zidane's side for quite some time now.

Hazard assumed he was being interviewed inside Stamford Bridge by young Belgian Antoine, an Under 11 player at the Royal Stade Brainois, but both he and Courtois had agreed to stage the interview before announcing the forward had won the award. Let's keep a watchful eye on this one.

On his relationship with under-fire Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, whose side now trail La Liga leaders Barcelona by 19 points, Hazard added: 'I remember 10 years ago, when he first spoke about me, it was incredible.

"Of course it is incredible", he said. It is spectacular to see him play.

"This season for us is maybe not the same as previous year, of course, and they are obviously very good", Hazard said.

There's every chance that will happen, and Courtois has never hidden his desire to one day ply his trade in the Spanish capital once again. "Just their desire to renew Eden Hazard's contract, it reassures me". We'll see. But they never did it. After a blistering start to life in the Premier League, he has scored twice in his last 10 appearances with his woes compounded by a back injury that saw him ruled out of defeats to Bournemouth and Watford.

Los Blancos have been regularly linked with a move to sign the Manchester United shot stopper since his emergence as the Premier League's best goalkeeper over the past three or four seasons. We also still have the FA Cup and the Champions League. Now we feel bad, but you have to look at how it turns out.

"Sometimes things we train on don't work out but we need to wait until the end, because we can still win a trophy".
