Huawei P20 Plus render leaked, suggests a triple camera setup

The Huawei P20 Lite smartphone would be running on an Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box.

Huawei P20 series will have three devices, Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Plus and Huawei P20 Lite. Based on the leaks we have come across so far, the smartphone is expected to flaunt a 5.8-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Today, Huawei P20 Lite got leaked in live images.

The leaked photos also reveal that the Huawei P20 Plus will sport a USB Type-C port between two speakers at the bottom.

The Huawei P20 should arrive in various configurations, including regular, Lite, and Plus models, but the leak doesn't mention any release date details or pricing for Huawei's upcoming phones. The renders do not show a fingerprint scanner, which could only mean that Huawei is either going for under-display fingerprint sensor or 3D facial unlocking like the iPhone X.

It appears that Huawei have tested at least two different P20 and P20 Plus prototypes. Developed in conjunction with Leica (a multi-year partnership which is developing some cracking cameras), the three rear cameras combine to produce a 40MP sensor with three lenses, which will enable 5x zoom with no loss of quality. The device's power and volume rocker keys will be located on the right side.

Apart from Huawei P20 Plus and Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Lite, the company is also working on P20 Pro smartphone that will feature triple-camera setup along with iPhone X-like notch.

The Huawei P20 Pro will run on a more powerful Kirin 975 processor, which gives a 15 percent increased performance as compared to Kirin 970 chipset. There's a small hole on top of the phone, which is too small to be a 3.5mm headphone jack, and is expected to be an Infrared sensor. We will have more concrete information on their specs in the coming days, so stay tuned.
